re: OPEN CASTING CALL IN NYC for 'HAIRSPRAY'

As you know, Mr. Marc Shaiman, there's a word in this business and it's called "support." I thank you very much for handing me the role of Tracy Turnblad. But really, I must say, I think the job rightfully belongs to Corine. So I must turn it down.

However, if you insist, but, no. The role REALLY belonged to Rathnait, 35 years ago. But since Cher taught us that we can not, in fact turn back time, could you find a way to give the role to Corine?

I mean, if not, I'm feeling like Lucy in the episode where she was trying to have sales resistance and Larry Mondello's mother was working in the hat shop and she just described a darling little cocktail hat and she mentioned "it has pearls" and without even seeing it, Lucy yelled, "I'll TAKE it!" Does the role of Tracy have pearls?

HA HA, thanks but that hardly answered my question! :) Oh well, I guess Corine will remain a mystery to those of us who know nothing of her talents. Was just curious to know how and why so many of seem to "know" she's made for this role, has she been in anything I would know? Are you just being nice and supportive without having ever heard her? Anyway...good luck to those going, and yes, to the 13 year old, skip school!!!!

Oh DP. You know I walk my Iguana on Madison Avenue.
And my Iguana, is very cute. He is green and has lines all over him that is why his name is Dollypoopers.
Yes. Our jogs, on Madison Avenue has worked. It is a miracle!

Hey! I remember "iguana" from the euphemism section of The Vagina Monologues. If only Eve hadn't been so narrow-minded in her casting of that. I would have been PERFECT. I saw it three times, I practically know it by heart.

Plum, I am completely serious in my support of Corine's auditioning for Hairspray. I am not at liberty to say what I *do* know, but what I know is very illuminating. Re other jobs etc.

There are certain people in life who have to be badgered into auditioning for parts they get. There are singers who have to be BADGERED into recording songs that become their signatures. (Right, Mister Marc Shaiman? Thank you, thank you, thank GOD for you....)

That is Corine's artistic temperment. If she auditions, she'll get it. She IS Tracy. Look at her icon, for god's sake and imagine a wig with a big blonde chunk in it.

Friends don't let friends post drunk Corine! Log off and go to bed! I'll try to have your deal worked out by the time you come to tomorrow... you'll probably start as a stand-by on the national tour and eventually, well, you know. Say hello to your NEW mama's, Pinette and Vilanch!

Honey. I am not drunk. I did not even drink tonight.
But, stop. Really. You are embarrassing me.
I loved Vilanch in his one man show at Westbeth. That man is so funny. How is his Edna? Have you seen him?

So, what if you're 5'4-ish... and not *technically* overweight? If you walked in would they say, "Sorry, can't listen to you!" Cause ain't no WAY Miss Bean is overweight and she was the understudy for how long...?!

When are the open calls for Penny and Amber/ensemble?!? That's what I'd like to know!

Corine2- You can always be Namo's understudy.

Phanty. I would love to be Namo's understudy. I am sure he would look better in the dress though.
LOL.

I have been "chubby" at a few points in my life... I have no problem understanding that...
