Unless the theatre gets rid of 50% of their ticketholders, they are REQUIRED to close. They're not really making a choice.

FYI, Public Theater patrons need to contact them to let them know what to do with the funds from cancelled performances. This is from the email I received:
At this time, the cost of your ticket purchase is being placed into your Public Theater Account. Over the next few days, please reach out to us and let us know if you wish to exchange into a future performance, convert your ticket into a tax-deductible donation, or request a refund. To avoid phone wait times, email us at tickets@publictheater.org or you may call 212.967.7555. If you purchased your tickets from a third party please contact them directly for a refund, and do let us know if you have any difficulties.

How To Save The World @ Cherry Lane til 3/14
We’re Gonna Die @ 2ST til 3/22
Harry Townsends Last Stand @ City Center til 4/1
Blue Man Group

and potentially Emojiland is going to finish its run but that is TBD and Josh Lamon has left the cast...

Josh is sick per his Instagram. He doesn’t know if he has COVID-19, but he’s self quarantining to be safe. Sad he won’t get to finish, but good on him for putting the cast/audience needs above his performance. I hope he gets well soon.

I think she just meant that they're still planning to do the show, eventually, because, under the current restriction, unless they reduce their capacity by 1/2, they can't perform.

According to an email message I received, all activity at Theater Row is suspended until April 1. Ticketholders can call Telecharge for information about refunds (although I received an email message from Telecharge saying that all tickets purchased by credit card will automatically be refunded) or call the company if they choose to make a charitable donation in the value of their tickets.

Shoot. Does anyone know what might be involved in extending Intimate Apparel? They're missing 4-5 weeks of performances. Might it be possible to extend before another show needs to move in? Would the actors have other jobs booked or might a possible extension be written into their contracts?
Aside from really wanting to see the show, I'm curious because it's LCT and a limited engagement so in some ways it feels like they would have more flexibility in extending if everything hopefully is all clear by April.

Broadway World just posted an article about the shows closing, opening back up soon, and the one's staying open.

I noticed Little Shop is not anywhere on the list, even as they announced opening up again April 14th, so I am curious if they missed any other shows

Seven Sins feels like a weird one to still be open.
I'm really disappointed about Love Life. Is it crazy to hope it might appear in a future Encores season?
I'm glad I saw We're Gonna Die even if I didn't think it was wholly successful. I suppose getting music from the show is even more unlikely now.
All the Natalie Portmans and Wolf Play sounded interesting. Did anyone see the former?
There was going to be a play/musical at 59E59 called Boys Will Be Boys. It was scheduled for March 26-April 12 so I assume that's off.

Posted: 3/13/20 at 9:50pmBlue Man was definitely closed tonight. Of course they posted it on none of their many social media anywhere, were still selling tickets, and they didn't pick up the phone or update their voice mail message. So schlepped the family all the way down there to find the doors locked and a notice. I know it is crazy times but a little effort goes s long way.
