You are VERY welcome !!! From hangin at the "110" stage door, to basically running over to see "Beauty", it was a great day !
Glad that we got the chance to experience the last for both shows.
I will NEVER forget last night at "BATB" !!
My review from the show is on one of these threads. Just thought it was an amazing evening. I loved Osmond's Gaston.
Thought he hammed it up very well, and Anneliese sang the heck out of "A Change in Me". It was the best I have heard anyone sing that song ! Literally, sent chills down my spine.
The one thing that I really noticed last night (dont know why it took me so long) was the beauty of the sets !!!
Just gorgeous !

yes i agree with you
love the sets too!
lol
it was probably such an emotional night for everyone there
but 13 years is by far a fantastic run for a show
I'll remember BOTH shows! So amazing!!
I didn't mind Donny ~ just his fans. LOL.
As for the woman...she threw her bag in the aisle seat in the partly empty row in front of her at the start of intermission and stomped off somewhere...and never came back, even at the end of the show. So she may have been escorted off property. I don't know. She should have been. She started in the seat next to the one in front of me and proceeded to lean forward so the woman next to me couldn't see. When she very politely asked the woman if she could possibly sit back, she huffed and flopped into the seat in front of me. I don't know what was up her butt, but she definitely didn't let herself get lost in the magic. GRRR! I just ignored her. I wasn't going to let her ruin MY night.

wow lol
something must have been bothering her majorly lol
oh well, she was rude and she deserves to be escorted out
and good thing you didnt let it get to you, i would just ignore her too and go on with watching the show :)
Yep! That's what I did. :) I just said "Today is a once in a lifetime event, the likes of which you'll never have a chance to see again. Just relaz and enjoy."
Though honestly I was glad Audra got out the 110 stage door when she did because I would have been VERY pouty if I hadn't gotten to talk with her. :P As testing said, we bolted from there to the Lunt. We had a few minutes to spare, but still.

Yes, and needed her to sign my hat desperately !!! LOL
What good would a signed "110" hat be without Audra's siggy on it !?
Yeah. And I needed to tell her what I did. I'm working on putting it in a letter in a more articulate fashion...but I'll have to figure out where to send it.
What will they do with all of the sets, wigs, costumes, etc. from the show??

lol yay :)
at least you got talk + get a signaturee!
:)
Jacob - I don't know about the rest of it, but Ann Hould- Ward left with the Beast's hands.
I was there last night too! Rear Orchestra, so it was fun to point out who was walking in. First off, VERY gay audience, it was pretty fascinating what we termed all the power gays in the audience. Many we recongized as Disney folks. We were a couple of rows back from John Tartaglia (who did standing ovations for everyone that got introduced at the end), as well as Andrea McArdle, Jacob Young (with a ridiculous outfit), Ashley Brown (smashing), Nicholas Rodriguez (haaawt!) and Joanne Worley (that outfit was very bright in person). Also noticed was AMC's John James, ABC's Deborah Roberts. Also noticed was Craig from BWW sitting up front and Rob Diamond further back.
BSoBW2, LOVED the "Beast Defying Gravity" moment. We were like, "is it always that way"? It was nice to see all the prolonged ovations. The title song got so much applause, you could tell that the actress was very moved. I will say Steve Blanchard gives Donny Osmond a run for the money in the ham dept, but it was very sweet. In all, a very nice performance, and a sweet evening.

You thought so? I was in Mezz H, and was SURROUNDED by families (and VERY young children, that for the most part, we very well-behaved) -
Thought the crowd was very diverse-- at least where I was sitting.
testing...maybe the less diverse crowd was among the invited peeps with the bigwigs. LOL. Not the commoners. :P
It's so sad to have this show go. I went with a bunch of friends to see the last matinee on Saturday, and went stage-dooring on Sunday so my friends could see the hype. We all love BatB, so we're very sad to see it go =(
I don't mean to bring up any controversy, but despite Anneliese's singing, which was good, I didn't like her much as Belle. I've seen Ashley Brown in the role, and I thought she was much better. Totally JMO, but I just felt she wasn't all that great, except for her singing.
belle_lover, I'm pretty much in agreement. Singing she's great. But she just played Belle too...I'm going to say serious, but that's not quite right. Yes, Belle is supposed to be serious, but she does also have fun. I guess I just didn't get any joy at all coming from Anneliese. If that makes sense.
I agree, jordangirl. I totally understand what you're saying, and all my friends agree. We thought she played Belle too serious as well.
Did the beat fly through the air? Cause I'm confused about the whole defying gravity thing.
"I've seen Ashley Brown in the role, and I thought she was much better."
I saw clips of Ashley Brown singing as Belle and she was phenomeonal (sp?). I wish I got to see her in the role.
ready2defy ~ I think they're refering to the Beast's transformation. He's suspended in air and twists and turns and then poof he's a human. It's magical.
"was susan egan present at closing night"
Sadly, she wasn't. I knew this because in an email I sent to her, I made her and the former Belles a farewell card they could all share it together.
I had a reply back from her saying although she would have loved to turn up at the final performance to share it but was unable to attend as she couldn't find the time to (due to looking after her daughter I reckon) but said she would forward it to any of the Belles she keeps close with.
I did however send copies via email to Kerry Butler, Brooke Tansley & Christianne Tisdale. If I find more of the former Belles' email adds, I'll send them copies as well :)
We gave Kerry a framed Playbill from the last performance.
Hope she liked it (despite my poor framing job) --
Besides Andrea McArdle, Christy Carlson Romano and Jamie Lynn Discala, were there any other former Belle's in attendance on Sunday evening?
ashley brown was there and so was gavin lee.
merle dandridge was there....i did see her in a pic.
It seemed liked they had a better turnout of Belle's on the 10th anniversary of the show.
I'm glad I got to see the show a couple of years ago, it was so good! I wanted to see it again before it closed, but I never got a chance too. So sad.
I am seeing The Little Mermaid in December though.
