I love Mary Testa like no other but I know exactly how she'd play Hannigan. I'd rather they cast someone that surprised us and was a revelation in the role.

Since singing isn't key for the role, if they could get a top notch celeb in the role who could wow us with her acting, I'd be more interested in that.

We'll see Testa in it when Papermill does it.

I'd rather see Testa in Call Me Madam.

I think Testa would be fine in the role, but I don't see a producer casting her to open the show. The title role will be a newbie, and unless they get a name as Warbucks, they'll look for Hannigan to sell tickets.

If the timing is right, I think Jane Lynch would be the right person for Hannigan, particularly if she wins an Emmy for Glee.
