Posted: 7/27/19 at 3:53amI may be going to NYC within a month or so and would probably only get to see 1 - 2 shows. But Im really stuck between these three. What would anyone recommend?

this depends on you and your budget. all 3 are very different in songs, story, and prices. i've seen all three and my favourite is beetlejuice but again this really will depend on you. i'd look at all 3 and see what kind of seats they have left and at what prices

That being said, I personally preferred OK, but its a tough pill to swallow for many.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Posted: 7/27/19 at 8:14amWow! Three very different shows. I’m with most of the others, Hadestown as a first choice, second would be Oklahoma and Beetlejuice comes in third. Hadestown effected me a great deal and I’ve been thinking about it a lot since seeing it in April. It moved me so much that my family and I immediately bought tickets to see it again (for next week, yay!). Oklahoma and Beetlejuice are both good but the bold reinterpretation of Oklahoma gets the nod for number two in my book.

The way I see it, if you can afford it, see Hadestown. No question.
If you’re open to an incredible experience that will never be replicated on tour or elsewhere, see Oklahoma!
If you literally cannot get a ticket to anything else, I guess see Beetlejuice.

Hadestown, Oklahoma, and Beetlejuice would seemingly be ranking by quality... I only saw the first two for that reason.

Beetlejuice BY FAR!!!
Oklahoma is a nasty director’s fever dream.
And Hadestown is another director’s watered down Greek myth. Bland and filled with empty, visual gimmicks and ramped up musical moments that fall flat after about 15 min.
Aw hell...just go see Moulin Rouge, K?

I have seen all three.
My list.
Hadestown if you want something powerful and moving that may stuck in your mind a long time.
Beetlejuice if you want fun entertainment. Nothing more to say other it’s just pure fun and Alex Brightman is incredible.
Oklahoma if you want to see a classic with a modern touch.
