How many seats are they using for this production, I’ve never been to this venue but understand they can configure up to 1200 people if they merge all theaters?

Michael makes a meal of the part and they use the space beautifully. Really nice production.

It’s a lovely production. It won’t be staged in London after next year so it’s not surprising they’re trying to do the show overseas.

I just had a look at the seating plan for PAC and this looks like it has more than 500 seats, so could be classed as a Broadway show? But saying that it doesn’t need to be a Broadway show to sell tickets and has the benefit of a off Broadway contracts.
I wonder if this will become a PAC staple every holidays?

I get that and Broadway is about contacts too.
Judging by awards this show was more loved in New York than London. Saying this holidays the Old Vic production is also going to play Manchester and Sydney. 10th anniversary in London, still sells out and will play for years to come and will become a holidays staple.

I trust Bill Rausch’s judgement, for the most part. The space is impressive at first glance (like a Canal Street knockoff of Yale’s Beinecke Library) but I’ve only visited it once. But any professional, well conceived, and executed show that avoids my going to the simultaneously family friendly and trashy Carnival Cruise that is now Broadway is tempting.
