Blech to Hodge winning.
Really? I heard he was brilliant. His I AM WHAT I AM on YouTube is stunning.
Hodge was AMAZING when I saw him, plain and simple. The audience LOVED him!!!!

I've said it before, the affected voice he puts on, to me at least, comes off as mocking. And I do not like to be mocked.
Doug Hodge = a phenomenal Zaza. Hopefully you guys on the other side of the Atlantic get to experience this incredible revival.

So glad to see that Lesli Marghareta won best supporting performer. She was phenominal in Zorro.
Go Pina Baush!
I can't believe they fell for JERSEY BOYS!
Ugh.
Husk you must have seen a different person to the rest of us, he was fantastic
"Blech to Hodge winning."
Did you see him in the show, or just the clip on YouTube? I agree the YouTube clip isn't good at all (and might actually have put me off going if I didn't already have my tickets), but he was amazing in the actual show. A bit of a revelation, actually, at least to me.

A couple of clips on YouTube and more than one audio recording. His acting may be fine, but as his time in the show progressed, his voice got more and more affected, and I started feeling insulted.
I missed Hodge in the show and saw Norton, but I was thrilled this particular production of La Cage won and I was happy for Margherita's win as well. Very well-deserved.

There were only two nominees this season. The outcome wasn't that surprising. I found Zorro to be a lot more fun than Jersey Boys, but it is much more flawed as well. It had nothing to do with anyone "falling" for anything.
Congrats to all!
I want Margaret Tyzack to come back to Broadway. I love her as an actress and would love to see her. I wish it were easier to go to London.
Jersey Boys, star of the musicals.
La Cage aux folles, anoth good night, what proof more do you want, that Douglas Hodge should bring this over to the great white way.
Pleased that Black Watch got some attention. A real high point for me last year.

I have heard stunning things about Hodge's performance and Elena Roger's performance. I am very interested in Roger's performance in the West End's Evita and was hoping that production would transfer. That is a revival I would love to see.
There were only two new musicals?
Or only two nominated?
