Yes. Pointless. A comment that doesn't make sense now that you complained and got all of my (and other people's) posts deleted.
It can get 3,000 replies. It's still pointless.
Maybe it would be fun if you started threads for flops with 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-word titles, individually.
But the more I think about it, maybe you're right. There are two different kinds of pointless.
There's the fun, diversionary kind of "ooh!" pointless threads.
And then there are threads that are JUST. POINTLESS.
This, if you hadn't guessed, is one of the latter.

I don't know if I would call "Sugar" a flop at over 500 performances. That's a pretty liberal definition.
A flop is a show that does not at least pay back its initial investment. This and some others listed here fall into that category

It wasn't a flop. It closed having made a small profit.

Love/Musik wasn't a flop. It was produced by a not-for-profit, MTC, for a limited run.
Scandalous was in the original post. Mack & Mabel cannot be split up therefore not a one word flop Sorry.
FOOTLOOSE
I may be wrong on this one though...

Rebecca, at least in NY -- or is there a different category besides "flop" for a show that never opened. Megaflop?

Hey Growler
Not bad for a pointless thread according to you
Forgot Zorba. It was a very good flop & Herschel Bernardi was great as Zorba. Never saw the Anthony Quinn one. It had one of the great K/E songs and a great way to open the show. Was miles ahead of Illya Darling.
