I recently sent a Facebook message to Orion (a.k.a Thor...the Thigh God):
Dear Orion (sorry, Thor): I hope your recovery is progressing as it should be. Your fans out there await your return.
I hope he is well armed and not alone when he returns.
"Jordan, it seems like N2N Nate knows a lot about circus tricks"
Literally took me all of 10 seconds to look it up online. Did you know a strong fabric stretched over a steel frame is called a Trampoline? Who knew?!
^ LOL- Funny!
So I saw the show for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and Orion was out of the show of course. I saw them do the balancing trick at the top of act II. I wouldn't have known it was anything different except for the fact the there was a slight moment when the person on top (sorry I don't know their names) stumbled, but quickly recovered.
Now I'm curious though, what is the usual trick that they do in that spot? I probably won't get another chance to see the show.
BlaX, your humor escapes me.
I recently sent a get well message to Orion. He offered this information about his current condition:
"I will be coming back to pippin on 27th. That's if my back can take it, we will see what the Doc has to say on the 14th." RC in Austin, Texas...soon to be of a new age.
He's still not back yet? I'm thinking he might not come back at this point...
Well, hopefully he'll get a medical clearance to return. He does have quite a number of fans, so a return to Pippin would be fantastic. RC in Austin, Texas
I'm with blaxx:
I hope he is well armed and not alone when he returns.
Thirding blaxx's sentiment. Yikes. I feel greasy reading this.
As it is wont to happen in our little community here, it seems that "some" people read things that are simply not there. If you're feeling greasy...try Dawn dishwashing liquid...it works wonders.
It seems that Orion is back with Pippin, according to the Playbill Vault. It's good news for his fans.
I'm glad you're dutifully continuing to stalk him to provide updates. Did you send him a Facebook message about it?
(not printable).
He has not returned yet. He is in the playbill, but is still not in the show.
For those interested, he was in the show today.
From his facebook... posted last night:
Orion Griffiths
So so happy to be back on the stage after a long four month recovery. I'm back on pippin with all my favorite performers.
was Orion's special circus trick added back in the show(Rolla Bolla)??
Yes, but he dismounted very carefully. He seemed to be moving pretty gingerly in general and wasn't doing a whole lot of heavy acrobatic stuff.

I was at the show yesterday, so glad he's back. He did seem extra careful with the Rolla Bolla trick, and he was wearing some sort of brace during the first few scenes of the show (oddly enough not for his big trick at the top of Act 2). Also, he's been given some lines/tasks that Yannick Thomas used to do (such as carrying the flame at the end of Act 1).
When Yannick left, they had split the Orion and Yannick track differently with Preston and Kenneth, with Preston doing most of the lifting, so when Orion got back he went into the Kenneth track which is a combination of the two.
