I haven't seen Grant in a while and didn't realize she had gone over under the knife. She also might be a bit too old, although I think she could have knocked it out of the park a few years back.
If it happened to be Fonda and Dunaway, I believe it would be their first time co-starring in 45 years, since Preminger's Hurry Sundown.

I don't think Dunaway will ever get a role in a prestigious film production and Grant is too old at 83 and with due all respect looks a lit bit scary.
Fonda is someone who I could actually see being cast in the movie.

A friend just posted this on facebook, and I gotta say I think it's a great idea, more for broadway replacement than film:
Kristin Johnston as Brooke.
Think about it.

Is it heretical to ask: why would any studio go forward with a movie of ODC at all? It's one of the most UN-cinematic plays I've seen in a long time. (Finally caught Saturday night's show-- terrific performances of a minimally interesting play.) The only ACTION in the entire script occurs --SPOILER ALERT-- when Brooke tosses the manuscript into the air. Only a screenplay that spends LOTS of time in flashbacks to show the kids' upbringing could generate much excitement as far as I can see.
So now you get bonus points for casting the YOUNG Polly, Liman, Zilda, and 13-year-old Brooke.

Posted: 4/30/12 at 2:07amI actually don't think that having had too much plastic surgery means too much for Silda and Polly (I mean, Stockard Channing looks like she has put her face through so much surgery). It's such a shame that so many actresses have gone under the knife, it's funny that so many of them think it benefits their careers when in fact it can often hurt them a lot.

I would think it makes little difference for Polly, who might have gone under the knife once too often - in fact she probably would overindulge in plastic surgery. But it makes a great deal of difference for Silda, who neither would be likely to do so nor be able to afford it if she was so inclined.

I'll toss a couple of Brits into the mix -- Bill Nighy or Gary Oldman for Lyman.
Both highly unlikely realities, but fun wishful thinking, imagining what they'd do with the character.
