I still have two free slots during my upcoming NYC trip (Jan 21 & 26), for which I've been trying to get 1 ticket for Other Desert Cities, but no luck so far. I check several times a day, but the run seems to be pretty much sold out.
Are they offering standby / rush tickets (no student rush, I sadly don't qualify for that anymore)? If yes, anyone tried it with or without success?
I'm an LCT member, don't know if that makes any difference... Any advise is very much appreciated. Thanks!
I was able to get a cancellation ticket the night before my desired performance. Just keep checking.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

Elke, did you call to buy the ticket or did you buy online thru telecharge? I have had no luck online and am wondering if I need to call or if they will show up online. Thanks
I was at 'Other Desert Cities' the other night, sitting in the last row, and overheard a handful of theatergoers next to me, talking about how they each got last-minute cancellations at the box office. Sounds like they just waited in line before that evening's show.
I did this on Tuesday evening. My friend and I were the 4th and 5th people in line. We got there around 5:40pm. By about 7:45, we had our tickets (2nd to last row, dead center). Only six people got cancellation tickets that evening.
I would recommend getting there around 5pm to ensure you get tickets...just bring a book or your iPod.
