Why couldnt you see her as Cassie? She can dance, sing, and act. Her music and the mirror would be AMAZINGGGG

Desiree' in A Little Night Music
Mame in Mame
Alma Mahler in Frakel and Korie's new DOLL
Madame Morrible?
Amalia in She Loves Me, so I could hear her sing Ice Cream, and Boyd Gaines could repeat his Tony award winning performance in the same production with the Patti.
I am not meaning to sounds like a jerk, but the thought of her playing Cassie makes me laugh a little. One, she is too old. Two, she isn't really in prime shape to play a dancer. Yes, Cassie is older, but she is still in great shape and can dance her ass off. I really don't care to see Miss LuPone in a red onsie, she is 59 years old!
She has played Desiree before.
This might sound a little lame, but I could see her as Aunt Eller in Oklahoma...
She'd be a fierce Velma von Tussle, but she would never take it.

They need to write something for her again. Revivals are great, but I want her create a role again.

I wish there was a market for her to have a long run in "Passion". Her Forsca is one of the favorite performances I've seen. And Lonny Price's staging was so beautiful.

LuPone was never a dancer. If you look at clips of her in Evita during the Buenos Aires number, you can tell she could barely handle the choreography. (It looked like someone was spanking her). And that was 30 years ago. She would need a body double to play Cassie, then and now.
She should play Cora Hoover Hooper in "Anyone Can Whistle".

Like she did in the Ravinia concert? That was wonderful!

A musical version (or even a non-musical version) of Tales of the City with LuPone playing Anna Madrigal.
I could totally see her as Anna Madrigal.

Yes! Anna Madrigal! (I do also love the rumours of Joanna Gleason, though.)
when I ate dinner with her she expressed intrest for playing the role of Dolly so perhaps that might happen in the future (at ravinia that is). However I told her Id love to see her play the role of Mame. Seriously wouldnt her If He Walked Into My Life be to die for?
