Broadway.com's stage blog is reporting that Audra McDonald's father was killed yesterday in a plane crash.

I never know what to think or say in these situations except for "how terribly awful". Thoughts are certainly with Audra in such a difficult time.

I honestly don't know how she's going to do this. At least I don't know if I would be able to, but theater is a great place for healing. Our prayers are with Audra and her family at this time.

According to playbill.com, she is doing the show tomorrow, but taking off Wednesday and Thursday. She will be back on Friday. I can't imagine doing the performance tomorrow, I would be a mess. Hopefully she is staying strong.
