I dunno. I'd consider JL Young and LaChanze to be clear front-runners at this point.

Well, I'm not shocked at all about Hugh Panaro, he is so very talented. I could listen to the man sing the McDonald's menu! He deserves the nomination, hands down!
I think Patti LuPone is definitely the front runner over LaChanze.
*cheers, applauds, wolf whistles*
Happy to see the nominations for Jersey Boys, Sweeney Todd and The Trip to Bountiful. I didn't see Rabbit Hole, so can't compare Lois Smith with Cynthia Nixon, but I really hope Smith takes the award, as well as Hallie Foote.
No Maria Friedman or Felicia Fields???
With my love to Mano on hold for a sec, to me the biggest two omissions from the OC gang (not that I put too much stock in them)
were the following:
Cherry Jones in Faith Healer
Sherie Rene Scott in Landscape of the Body
Also thought Bob Martin for Drowsy Chaperone was a shoe-in. Hopefully the DD's this week will recognize them.
Yeah, I was disappointed that Maria Friedman wasn't nominated, Bob Martin too. But, as someone said earlier, these are just one set of awards and they tend to not mimic the Tony's (and maybe the DD awards).
Eta: corrected so my intent was expressed. lol

I think JLY and Patti are in the leads for the Tony right now.
I will be THRILLED if JLY and Patti get the awards. Going to see Ms. Lupone again soon. Third row!
Any reason why SEASCAPE was shut out of best revival?
It seemed like so long ago when I saw The Constant Wife -- I'd forgotten it was even from this season.
