Stephen Sondheim’s Pacific Overtures is set for a London revival, coming to the Menier Chocolate Factory, it has been revealed.
The new revival is to be presented as a co-production between Japan and the UK.
After running in Tokyo/Osaka in early 2023, it is intended to transfer to the Menier Chocolate Factory. Dates for the London run are to be announced at a later date.

Interesting as I've read reports that Menier lost the lease to its space as the building is being converted to a residential tower. Perhaps that got resolved or they will play in a rental space or a new home?

Seventeen times?!?!?! Wow! Now that’s what I call dedication!
I would love to see this when it comes to NY. I’ve never seen it and know little of its score.
For a production that only ran six months, 17 times is….something.
Wonder if this is going to be based on the 90-minute 2017 revival or the original production.
Oh god, another 5 piece Menier orchestra.
The artwork is beautiful. Happy to catch this as I missed the recent off Broadway revival (my own fault, I was too fatigued from seeing so much theatre).
