Woo-hoo! But, I doubt it will win. Remember Avenue Q vs. Wicked?
My bet's on Spamalot.

Only rarely does art come along that's so fine
If you love it, it's not wrong to give it a sign
To its cast and creator, the fine songs they sing
To add now a Grammy would be just the thing!
Here's to Guettel, Sperling, Clark, Morrison, O'Hara, all the cast & musicians! They deserve the recognition!

Posted: 12/8/05 at 3:25pmThis should be interesting. I'm not sure who I'll vote for yet. It's hard to separate the feelings toward a show from the music. Based on music alone though, I'll probably vote for Piazza.

I have yet to make it through the Spamalot cast recording, but Piazza...
It's got sopranos! Who can slight a soprano? For one thing, it's frightfully dangerous. You should see the last person who slighted me. Poor man. He just didn't see that cake of cement in time. Of course, now he looks a bit like Han Solo when they froze him in that stuff, so I think it's an improvement.

Posted: 12/9/05 at 1:03amI'm so happy that HAIR got nominated but you know I want that trophy to go to Guettel and PIAZZA. The beauty that is Piazza must triumph over Spam. It just has to!
