Posted: 4/30/14 at 11:05amOh. Please - no more menopausal women or " younger" - Pink will be 35 in September. To hell with " tradition" - let a male play the part. Frankly - be it Mary Martin or Cathy Rigby - i never for one second watching these performances (at any age) thought of the character as a youthful male. No - it always was an ACTRESS hamming it up and unconvincingly playing a 14 ( ? ) or so male. Yuck. And as for Radcliffe - I doubt if at 25 he would enjouy regressing in age for the part, to about his age in the early Harry Potter films. All this so-called "dream casting" here on this board is generally so obvious and pointless. ( Jackman as Hook - duh).

You're just figuring this out after being on the site for 9 years?!

Love this game. Mine: her Oscar nominated turn as an incredibly annoying, naive, know-it-all young girl in UP IN THE AIR; a role that could have been so grating in anyone's hand but that became incisive and layered in hers.

Posted: 4/30/14 at 3:15pmOh, that's who she is? I LOVED her in that. Yet whenever she pops up nowadays I have to ask who the hell she is. Memory is the first thing to whatever.

Posted: 4/30/14 at 4:12pmI really hope they aren't still going for a male. This material just won't work with a boy, regardless of his age. The character Peter Pan can be an actual boy, but the material has to be written with that in mind. This material was written under the assumption that a woman would play him, and that's really the only way it can be done without looking absurd.

And don't forget Anna Kendrick's much beloved turn in the film of The Last 5 Years, which has been seen and adored by...a handful of people at festival screenings because they still haven't found any major studio to serve as the distributor.
I'm a big fan of hers and think she is immensely talented, but she not box office royalty, yet. I also don't see Disney giving her the time off from promoting Into the Woods to do this project on NBC, because I'm sure she'll be part of the media blitz for that as the young star on the rise.

Didn't Anna Kendrick say she didn't want to do musicals anymore - too much effort and pressure? Doesn't sound like live TV would be her cup of tea.
On the other hand...I love the previous posters who suggested Kristen Bell for either Peter or Wendy. After Frozen, she is certainly marketable...and even she has an indirect connection with NBC because her hubby Dax Shepard is a regular on the NBC series Parenthood, so she might have been in contact at various events with NBC brass. Would it be a problem for a Disney "princess" to work at NBC?
