I don't know about you guys, but I'm really enjoying the variety of songs that PIPPIN is taking to the circuit where every appearance is a different song ("Corner Of The Sky", "Magic To Do", "Simple Joys", "On The Right Track" etc).
Do you think this should be a strategy more shows should adopt (as opposed to doing the same song on every show)?
(Apologies...I feel like I could've worded this better)
Like Matilda? They have done the same mashup of Naughty and Revolting Children like three times now.
Not all shows have a number of songs that can be shown without context or their sets/stagecraft/etc.
And, shockingly enough, the rest of the nation isn't following these shows from talk show to talk show.
It really depends on the show itself. There are some musicals that are not naturally TV-genic, and numbers will just not make sense or land very well out of context. Pippin has a very presentational staging and does not have that problem.
Where's Kinky Boots been? Is it too "racy" for daytime TV? I haven't seen it perform anywhere.
Kinky Boots will be on The View tomorrow (6/6)! :) :) :) Can't wait to see what they choose to perform from the show! :)
