Okay, I think I am done pretending that I actually have a life and will just succumb to much of these boards and since I've been obsessing over the movie might as well join in the fun...
Woah, I saw the movie 6 times, didn't realize I was beat that bad, whew I feel better. But I am extremely proud as the last 4 times I bought a child ticket(I'm 18 and a child ticket you have to be 12 so yeah I was impressive). Woohoo, saving money. And I went with a different friend each time, sometimes they wanted to go and then I just couldn't deny. I think my worst moment was the last time when I ended up going with my cousin and a friend and my friend figured she would only be staying for half because she had to do something so left and my cousin, who saw the show 6 times, fell asleep and since she saw the show 7 times she knew how it ended and decided she had to get home to bed. So I sat to watch the last half hour...by myself...for the 6th time. Oops.
Sally, I must commend your taste, I told you once before I loved Gerard and I love Johnny too! If you also think Jude Law and Orlando Bloom are gorgeous, then you..well at least have the best taste in the world. Too bad, you would love the picture I uploaded that still isn't coming up as my icon, I don't know why. Anyway, it's a montage of about 8 pictures of Gerard in the movie and it says over one of the pics "I'm too sexy for my mask."(He most definitely is.)
Umm...I still gotta rent the Notebook and Ray but I loove Finding Neverland, I saw it twice. With Phantom not in major awards, it's the one I'll be rooting for at the oscars, though it probably won't win much. Grrr. Sideways was quite funny at times, but it did have some of the emotional drama stuff in it, I didn't love it as much as everyone else but I certainly would want it to win over say the Aviator.
And to finish up responding to random of the last couple pages of the thread, I'm seeing Little Women saturday! Got a ticket on TDF so I don't know where I'm sitting. First show I'm going to alone ahh...oh well should be cool.
Hmmm...maybe I should watch the movie one more time because I think it's leaving soon...I think right now it's only playing at like 12:25 everyday in my theatre. That's sad. Oh well, at least there's gonna be a 2-disc DVD woohoo. More Gerard for me and Sally, more Emmy for Zepka and Jwei, and more Patrick for Beacon, can't go wrong!
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
