PS Classics offers FREE download of Jayne Houdyshell's solo version of "Broadway Baby"

"The Metropolitan Museum of Art recently asked if they could include "Broadway Baby" on a compilation CD they were doing, of songs from musicals set in New York City. We of course said yes, but we also felt the track might be more appropriate on a compilation disc as a Hattie solo, without Solange and the Whitmans mysteriously returning at the end. So the wonderful Jayne Houdyshell went back into the studio last month and recorded a new ending, and as a gift to our customers, we thought we'd make the solo track available here. You can download it on the FOLLIES page, just beneath the full track listing."

Perhaps the Museum might do another CD about desperate housewives, and PS Classics could get Victoria Clark into the studio...

I'd <3 PS Classics a little more if they'd record Jesus Christ Superstar.

It's a classic, right? And a complete recording paying homage to the original concept album (except no fade out tracks) seems right up their alley even if the score isn't exactly their typical fare.
