I have to agree with Goldenboy. I saw this when I was young and although I remember it being a perfectly charming show (to a 10 year old theater nerd predisposed to love everything), I am a little baffled by the notion of reviving it for Broadway. In fact, a couple years ago I bought the OCR out of nostalgic curiosity and I honestly couldn't get through it.
Was the cast already in rehearsals? I'm not sure what's worse, starting or not starting rehearsals when the ax comes.
Also, if you've not started rehearsals, do you get paid yet?

That depends on when rehearsals were scheduled to start in relation to when the cancellation notice comes in. Sometimes an actor (usually a star) may have also negotiated a certain guarantee in their contract.
Haven't heard anything, but I hope not. I was working forward to this.
