The US made up 25% of the total gross of the movies? Plus it's a cute talking bear with (from what I've heard) a killer score.

And you’re a loser who has made 6387 fake accounts on this board. Your point is?
There’s actually some really great stuff in the score.

There’s some really great stuff in the Queen of Versailles as well, but it didn’t stop people from trouncing it because they remember the bad and hardly the good.

I would bet about three hundred and fifty million dollars that you have not heard one note of the score, Flash.

You do this all the time, you did it with Jellicle Ball last year. You haven't heard or seen ****.

Sure thing, Flash. How’s Diana Greenhouse these days? Did she get hit by a bus after just a week of use? I assume “Fireplace” will be burnt to the ground in a few days as well.

I saw the jellicle ball. I saw the little slide show and the hideous choreo. Memory sounded absolutely atrocious. The only thing I liked was the choral vocals. I see tons. It’s kad who doesnt go to the theater and then comes on this board and spreads his platitudes around.

What does that have to do with this thread, lunatic?

And that standing ovation for andre de shields was ridic.
People in America are mostly aware of Paddington on two levels: one being purely as a mascot character, divorced of context; the other being the quasi-meme of “Paddington 2 is a perfect film,” the British Amelie. And much like Amelie, more people will say they love it than have actually seen it.
If I were a potential investor, my concern would be the inevitable end point of the musical’s viability. After all, this is a King Kong situation: you can’t get much hope of a licensing future if the show’s whole hook is an incredibly specific, expensive special effect. Will the show still work when the bear robot/human hybrid is gone and it’s a theatre kid wearing a hat with fuzzy ears?

I'm gonna sit the 4th film out, and wait for the 7th or 8th. ![]()
Precisely.
