So a lot of people love the revival of the Pajama Game, but what if it magically extended and Kelli and Harry couldn't do it? Who would they have to cast to bring you back? OR is the production enjoyable enough that you'd go anyway? Just taking a poll
After having performed in two seperate productions of this show I would go see it regardless. I am interested in hearing the new songs in the context of the show, and seeing what changes have been made in the script, staging, etc. I also would just be excited to be seeing a Broadway production of a show that has meant a lot to me over the years.
The show itself is only decent. Cute, but not anything to write home about. The cast is fantastic, and although I'm sure there are other talented performers who could replace the leads, it is most definately the cast who draws the audience.

nothing against harry and kelli, i love them! but there were a lot of very successful Broadway shows before EITHER of them were on Broadway!
i am sure they could find suitable replacements! there are A LOT of talented people out there!!! LOL!
We would see it in an instant

Karen Ziemba is no stranger to THE PAJAMA GAME: She played Gladys in the NYCO production and Babe in the Encores staging, opposite Barrett as Sid. She was killer, he wasn't.
My ideal choices would be Craig Bierko and Emily Skinner.
I'd see it again.
They'd need a MAJOR MAJOR star to keep this running, though. The audience is completely built on Connick's draw. Plus, he'd be very difficult to replace, as a lot of the new parts of the show, from the orchestrations to some choreography to some re-worked lines, are built around him and his personality.
Harry won't be sticking around for The Pajama Game again, but I'll bet he'll be considered if the London reivval of Guys and Dolls tranfers.

ooooooooooo...i love craig bierko...and i forgot all about brent and karen!!!!! THATS why i thought of that!! i am so unoriginal! hahahahah!!! but..ooooo craig...he needs to get back on bway!
I thought that the only reason that this show was worth seeing was for the cast. I'm not a big fan of the show itself. It seems a bit outdated, but it is a good bit of theatre history. But the cast goes deeper than the two leads. Everyone is amazing. Hence, the show was great.

Has anyone seen the show when one or both of the two leads are out? They can't possibly have played every performance!
I don't think that either of them has missed one. I know Harry hasn't.
I actually liked Harry the least. I would see the show again with another Sid, but I do have a soft spot for Kelli O'Hara and most of the other cast members. It would be sad to see it without them - especially Kelli, Megan Lawrence and Michael McKean. I'm a fan of his.

kelli will NEVER miss...they will have to wheel her in on a gurney before she would ever miss a show.
Kelli was out of PIAZZA the night I saw it.
Her understudy was wonderful, though.

John Stamos and Eartha Kitt....the dynamic team from NINE.
Ziemba and Brent have both done it before, and together - at Encores.

Harry as Skye Masterson is a very good suggestion, inlove. I can see that!
Although Kelli is one of my favorite performers, i still didn't enjoy the show. So no one could make that crap work. My opinion.
What did you think of Harry Muscle?
Following in the casting tradition of Harry and Reba... how about Chris Isaak. He has a gorgeous voice and is a charming actor.

If it is extended, it will not be with "gimmick" Weissler-type casting (i.e. a big TV or film name). Currently, Broadway stars (but largely unknown outside of theater) are under final consideration for an extension...but not people like Stamos, Isaak, Lauper or "the major star" types mentioned here.
