LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Paramedics have been called to the Nokia Theater for Kristin Chenoweth, according to an Access Hollywood source on the scene who witnessed the incident.

The star, who won her first Emmy award earlier on Sunday evening for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role as Olive Snook in "Pushing Daisies," first complained about a migraine headache, then said she couldn't open her eyes.

Paramedics are with her now in the room outside of the backstage gift lounge.

The source says that she is in good spirits though and not hysterical, but rather very calm.

Story developing...

Oh no! I hope she's okay.

I've been fighting some headaches recently. I hope it's not going around. Also, I would like to guest star on Mad Men. Just so I can get in Matthew Weiner's pants.

Later in the broadcast they showed her in the press room so either it happened afterwards or she's fine...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Guys, faking it? Really? She has Meniere's disease. It causes migranes and vertigo. The flashes from all the cameras probably set it off like they always do.

I thought her speech was funny and genuine. I don't think she was faking anything. I hope she's okay.

Television cameras do not need flashbulbs.

But I'm sure all the cameras in the press room do...for coverage in the papers. She won an Emmy....fairly certain she would have enough attention from that not to 'fake' anything.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

"Television cameras do not need flashbulbs."
Seriously, are you that much of an idiot? Try all the people taking pictures on the red carpet, backstage, holding her award. I guess you haven't seen the various pictures of her kissing the trophy.

This article explains "Meniere's disease" in some detail, which even Brody should be able to comprehend.

What are the symptoms of Ménière's disease?
The symptoms of Ménière's disease occur suddenly and can arise daily or as infrequently as once a year. Vertigo, often the most debilitating symptom of Ménière's disease, typically involves a whirling dizziness that forces the sufferer to lie down. Vertigo attacks can lead to severe nausea, vomiting, and sweating and often come with little or no warning.

Some individuals with Ménière's disease have attacks that start with tinnitus (ear noises), a loss of hearing, or a full feeling or pressure in the affected ear. It is important to remember that all of these symptoms are unpredictable. Typically, the attack is characterized by a combination of vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing loss lasting several hours. People experience these discomforts at varying frequencies, durations, and intensities. Some may feel slight vertigo a few times a year. Others may be occasionally disturbed by intense, uncontrollable tinnitus while sleeping. Ménière's disease sufferers may also notice a hearing loss and feel unsteady all day long for prolonged periods. Other occasional symptoms of Ménière's disease include headaches, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea. A person's hearing tends to recover between attacks but over time becomes worse.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

"She has Meniere's Disease"
She should give it back.

Watching her, she was overcome and dizzier than usual,
I think that winning could certainly make a girl swoon.
Luckily, she regained to twitter again,
and she was together enough to say:
Neil Rocks!

Congrats for an Upset, and some juicey gossip.

"I guess you haven't seen the various pictures of her kissing the trophy."

I'm proud to say I have not. And to point out that modern digital cameras used by professional people backstage don't need flashes either. But let's stop this quibbling. I'm somebody who recently fought off a migraine just the way our Kristin did, with some meds. Then I went home to bed, not for a night on the town.

Looking at your phone's light up screen is bad for an incipient migraine too. Kristin, this is basic stuff, you should know this.

She almost passed out,
She's on Meds,
and
She's going out to party.

Now, she is entering DIVA territory.
