What do you think of Patina Miller as Elphaba?
I know it's soon to be talking about a new Elphaba, but after listening to the Pippin cast recording, I wondered how she'd do in the part considering she has a great range and is in a good age range for the role. Her voice gets a little nasal (in my opinion) at times, but I wanted to know what everybody else thought.

If she ever played the role I would definitely see her performance to feed my sharp curiosity. I'm not sure if she'd be willing to do this though. Now that Stephen's directly familiar with her work, If he wants her as Elphaba he'll probably make her an offer like he did with Mendez.

Ditto to Visceral.
I could not see her character voice (yes, it is a character voice), present in both Sister Act and Pippin, working for Wicked, but I'd be curious to see if she'd drop it for Elphaba; the idea of seeing her play a more vulnerable role is interesting.

And what is up with this site deleting my posts. I posted an opinion yet they don't sensor the douche bags that frequent this board: Jim Coyler and suestorm.
What's next? Am I going to get banned?
Whatever.

Love Patina, but this is not a role for her. Her voice suits some things perfectly (PIPPIN for example), but I don't think she has that soaring belt that has become the standard for the role.
But I could be wrong.

I can see her coming and doing something for the 10th Anniversary but that's about it (like performing parts of "Defying Gravity" or something like they did with Ashanti for the 5th Anniversary)
She is amazing, but the tone of her voice doesn't fit it in my opinion.
