Is Patina still in Pippin? I noticed on Saturday she was out of the show. I have tickets to see the show Thanksgiving weekend and was wondering if you guys think she'll be in the shows that weekend. Thanks! :)
Yes, she is, and yes, she should be in Thanksgiving weekend.
The show was sold out all weekend and there wasn't a single request for refunds, so she is obviously not a draw at all.
She's not above the title, so I'm not sure what conclusions to draw from people not asking for something that they weren't going to get.

Pippin has many strong performances and is still a great show even when someone is out but if you are trying to convince the rest of us that people seeing the show aren't looking forward to seeing her perform the role she won a Tony for and aren't disappointed when she is out unexpectedly, I think you will have a long and lonely road ahead of you. Weren't you the same person who started a thread a few weeks ago wanting to see the show when she is out. Who goes out of their way to avoid seeing a Tony Award winning performance?
Oh, please, Muscle. Why even find this moment to trounce on Miller? You don't like her and that's fine: but obviously its a draw for THIS OP.

Not a single one? Are you a member of the Music Box Theater box office staff? Otherwise I don't see how you could make such a statement.
I'm not suggesting Miller is any kind of box office draw, but she is a Tony winner for the role, and I'm sure there are people who wanted to see her.
Maybe muscle will be happy when Tovah Feldshuh leaves and Sarah Brightman takes over the role of Berthe.
His miraculous ability to gauge how many people did or did not ask for a refund because of Patina's absence is amazing!

Speaking for myself, I was extremely disappointed that she was out on Saturday night. If I lived in the area or had any flexibility in my schedule for the rest of my trip, I would have asked for a refund. I very much wanted to see Patina Miller in the role, but I had no choice if I wanted to see the show at all.

And how would you know that not one person requested a refund? And I'm not sure about others, but she was a draw for me. She was one of the main reasons I went to see Pippin. I am not a big fan of the show itself, but I was intrigued to see this production for the direction and cast. She may not be a BIG draw, but she is definitely still a draw. I think any Tony winning performances are a draw of sorts.
Her performance is glorious. It should be a draw.
