and ze emcee i'll tell you how amazing she is. the very first time i saw anything about Patti was on november 2nd 2004 (yes i remember the date that changed my life) sweeney todd in concert was on and i had never seen or heard it before so i decided to watch. i tuned in in the middle of A Little Priest and i didn't even know what the plot was but found myself cracking up at Patti's timing. She then after became my favorite actress/singer and i own every single recording/video of sweeney todd ever (even bootlegs shhh).

Tomarrow is her birthday!!! my friends and i are having a party for her and we are going to get those big wax lips and watch all of her movies! Yes i am fully aware that i'm insane

I'd argue with the Patti, but I'm pretty sure she would kick my ass. I love her & all, but she scares the crap out of me, too.

She is an emotional Italian. I saw her in Noises Off and Evita. On the 30th, I will get to see her in Sweeney Todd............

I think if i ever met her I would cry. I need to think of a date to see Sweeney again. Last time i got box seats and she winked at me at curtain call, i seriously almost fainted. My friend grabbed me before i went over the side. I was literally violently shaking for 5 hours before the show because i've never seen her live before and my friend slapped me across the face because i started sqealing when i saw her through the curtain hahaha that was a fun day.

To me, the qualifier "these folks" means she's referring to a minority of the theater audience. Otherwise why bother saying "it's a minority" -- who else does she imagine is reading her ramblings? But WTF do I know -- I guess you'd have to ask her, and hope she doesn't kick your ass

mrslovett7 - You are also my hero now, too!!! I've been celebrating her birthday all week.

Patti needs to pick up her teaching credentials and start lecturing at colleges. This is the very kind of thing our apathetic student populations are reading/discussing today. At least, at San Francisco State University. She reads/sounds like so many of us socially-conscious liberal Bay Area folk in this blog entry.
