When Faye Dunaway was fired from the LA production of "Sunset Blvd" in 1994, legally she wasn't able to comment on the situation. In her autobiography, she put in the press release annoucement regarding the settlement with her and ALW. And, she added that she's legally bound to not speak of it.
Patti could be under the same legal deal. Time will tell.

I think Patti needs to work on her social media strategy a little bit more. I don't think she's really that comfortable with the idea of "user generated content" but her publishers told her that this would be a great way to generate buzz...so she did it after picking a title in advance. But I think everyone who submitted to this contest was planning on buying the book anyway
neal---I'll be that's part of the settlement, that she can't talk about it.
Her book title is lame. How about "Patti LuPone: The Book."
Actually, it should be called "Patti LuPone: Everything But Sunset."
"Everything But Sunset" - very, very funny! And, very true.

Patti promised us the goods! She had better deliver!
Mein Kampf made me laugh out loud. But this whole thing is fishy.
She's going to talk about Sunset in the book--all about Sunset. And she's going to talk about Arthur.
The only thing she's not going to talk about is Kevin Kline.
I told her to call it "Shut Up, Patti LuPone! (A Memoir)". She laughed.
"Thank you" Priscilla-
Confirming again Good GREY Toronto.
jeeze.
That's propably why the G20 are coming this June- dull, placid, predictable.
Contents may be otherwise tho.

So what's the point of writing the book? I bet that's some of the best gossip of her early career.
To say that I was surprised by the simple winning title is an understatement. My own submission to the title contest was: "Love Me or Hate Me: I'm Fabulous!" from RC in Austin, Texas
Patti may think it was a simple and elegant choice,
but it seems, IMO, just too ordinary for her.
I should have submitted: "Stop Photo-Copying this Book Right Now"!

So, just to be clear - this was not an April Fool's Joke, right? It's kind of like she didn't know the title would get out, so she pretended to have a contest to just name it what she was going to name it any way.
Can anyone confirm if Ms Precilla Ng of Toronto, ON is related to Mr Richard Feder of Ft Lee, NJ?

Exactly, lol. The whole thing is kind of funny.
Probably more like she had the idea for the title, someone suggested doing a contest, she held the contest, read through all the entries--loved some, hated others, laughed at some ("Mein Kampf? C'mon...that's FUNNY!")--and then decided which was the best one:
Patti LuPone: A Memoir

But even you admit it's just the teensiest bit crazy, right?
I am super bummed by this choice... I only hope she makes up for it in content.
I suggested "I'm not a big fan of me By Patti LuPone."
and also
"Who the **** are you? I'm Patti LuPone! By Patti LuPone."

It doesn't really matter anyway. I'll buy one of those sticky book covers & call it whatever the **** I want.
