Perfect Cast?

Have we discussed this before? I know we've talked about most interesting and funny casting, but have we ever discussed the most perfect cast for a Broadway show?
I know if they made a transfer of Witches of Eastwick from London (with a few changes hopefully) I know I could definatley see Hugh Jackman as Nicholson, Jennifer Westfeldt as Pfieffer (how do you spell it?), Idina Menzel as Sarandon, and Sutton Foster as Cher. Any other shows?

The OBC of Ragtime was perfect I think
Also OBC of Urinetown and Hairspray

obc of Hairspray(Marissa,Harvey,Matt were perfect for there roles) and Rent.

The production of Guys and Dolls in the early 90's was flawless. One of the best things I've seen. It featured Nathan Lane, Peter Gallagher, Faith Prince and Josie DeGuzman. Impeccable perfomances, each and every one.

OBC of RENT and THE PRODUCERS. Nathan, Matthew, Roger, Cady, Gary, Brad and Jeffrey Denman in the Ensemble....it couldn't have been any better.

OBC's of RENT, URINETOWN, and HAIRSPRAY were all flawless and perfect for their parts.

I think Kiss me Kate, LSOH, Hairspray and the Mamma Mia tour, the one with Cynthia Sophiea, Jeanine Morick, Chilina Kennedy, Jessica Rush, etc.

I forgot that one-definately agree with Broadwaysweetheart-the cast of the MAMMA MIA tour with Jeanine and Chilina is amazing. Does anyone know if they are still in the tour, or has the cast changed?

While "perfect" is *totally* a relative term, I think the OBC of Rent is pretty close to it. They're all so talented. I wish I had seen them.

Also - I wouldn't say this one is perfect, and this is very cliche coming from me - but I was a big fan of the final cast of Cabaret, and not just because of Adam Pascal.

NYCBabe I think it changed I didn't get to see Chilina, I saw it with the understudy Jessica Rush and she was AMAZING!! I wish she could be Sophie on Bway someday

I saw it twice, with many understudies in both performances, but Chilina and Jeanine were always there. Both of them were AMAZING, and I'm sure Jessica was as well. That was a very talented cast. It's too bad they left. I'd like to see many of them on Bway someday.

Well, OBC are very often the "best" as they hyad the benefit of a dedicated and focused rehearsal peroid, but having seen both The Producers and Hairspray in the last few weeks, their current casts are perfect too!

I WOULD HAVE TO ADD THE OBC OF HAIRSPRAY. AFTER SEEING THE NEW CAST U JUST REALIZE HOW AWESOME THEY WERE.

I fully agree about HAIRSPRAY and RENT OBC, but I think I have to add the original cast of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA as well !

Agree... totally.... Original Tour 2 Cast of Mamma Mia! The "Original 8" made "my" cast worth seeing over and over and over.... again! ( 151 times for me!)
