Performances for TONYS

What should each show do?

In The Heights: 96,000
South Pacific: a medley
Passing Strange: Amsterdam
Gypsy: Every thing's coming up roses or Roses turn

What do you think (I don't know the others (Shows) well)

re: Performances for TONYS

I would love for Sunday to perform "It's Hot up Here"
but that's unlikely it doesn't showcase Daniel... they'll most likely do Sunday or a number like Move On, showing off Jenna and Daniel.

Gypsy will do Rose's Turn, maybe Everything's Coming up Roses.

A medley would be nice for south pacific.

re: Performances for TONYS

I think SUNDAY should do "Move On." And GYPSY should do "Everything's Coming Roses." "Rose's Turn" would be great, but at least they can showcase Laura and Boyd with the former.

re: Performances for TONYS

I would love to see Gypsy do Together Wherever We Go. And Sunday do Move On. I would love to see them do Sunday, but that would be hard. And expensive.

re: Performances for TONYS

Gypsy will be doing Rose's Turn.

I wouldn't be surprised if South Pacific did Nothin Like a Dame.
#7

re: Performances for TONYS

I'd love it if Gypsy did 'Everything's Coming Up Roses' but I think it'll end up being 'Rose's Turn.'

Sunday should try their best to do 'Sunday.' I think that would be amazing.

re: Performances for TONYS

The song isn't called "Amsterdam" people, come'on!

The song where Stew's screaming/raving/loving it is called "Keys" - It TAKES PLACE in Amsterdam.

re: Performances for TONYS

Well I was saying the song Amsterdam but keys is a better idea!

re: Performances for TONYS

I think In the Heights will/should do a medley - "En Washington Heights"/"96,000"/"Paciencia y Fe" (if Olga Merediz is nominated?)

Sunday should do "Move On"
http://www.beintheheights.com/katnicole1 (Please click and help me win!) I chose, and my world was shaken- So what?
The choice may have been mistaken, The choosing was not...

Cry Baby should do "A little upset" if it get nominated for choreography.

re: Performances for TONYS

The song is called "Keys" ...lol!

Welcome to Amsterdam would not be a good choice bec. there's a lot of conversation...Most likely they will perform KEYS bec. that's really rockin' song and good for live audience!

BTW- Am I only the one that feel that Xanadu should not do a medley? I really wish that they will sing "I'm Alive" to showcase the muses and Kerry Butler but I am afraid that they might want Cheyenne to sing too..so I guess.. its more likely its a medley..but its LIVE too unlike the other TV telecast which did not capture's XANADU intensity (being lip-synched).

and in my opinion~ from seeing the show- I think GYPSY should do.."Everything's Comin' Up Roses" bec. the ending is very good and Miss Patti really belted out that last NOtE... then curtains went down- very dramatic! I think they should not do Rose's Turn bec. that was the number that Bernadette Peters sang in the TONYS a few years ago.

re: Performances for TONYS

For choreography it most likely will. Nothing else though.

Xanadu - Suddenly

In the Heights - 96,000
Grease - We Go Together/YT1TIW

re: Performances for TONYS

Then I was wrong, I was almost sure though.

For choreography it most likely will. Nothing else though.

Only the nominated for Best Musical get to perform, so Cry Baby wouldn't, even if they get a nomination for choreography.

This is not necessarily true. You may be seeing performances from some of the non-nominated musicals this year. CBS wants a more entertaining broadcast.
