Do we know how long they are in the sow for?
4 months? I don't think she's going to "sell this f***er" or, how ever you said it, out for that long. Think she'll extend? Or do you think the show will close this time when they leave?
Tickets are on sale through early January, though it says the cast after November 7 is "TBA." My guess is they'll Peters and Stritch are extending "by popular demand" for two months and advertise those two months as you "last chance" to see them, then close the show in January.

Huh? If you are referring to me, I never said that.
I actually was NOT referring to you. I was referring to someone who stated it earlier and has now apparently edited it out. Eh, oh well. I hope they do extend.
Another short interview! http://www.playbill.com/multimedia/video/4284.html
I walked past the theater this afternoon on my way to lunch and saw the big picture of Elaine outside and my heart leaped for joy.
I'd like to see Gwyneth Paltrow and Blythe Danner take over in November for 2 months...I think both would do quite well in those roles.

Oh, every time I try to imagine Gwyneth Paltrow as Desiree I laugh so hard my stomach hurts.
Elaine looks exactly like Emporor Palpatine from Star Wars in several of those pictures.
Gwyneth Paltrow?! As Desiree Armfeldt? She would be totally miscast. She doesn't have the stature or even the chops to play that part.
She has also rejected an offer to play Desiree already, lol. Though it seemed like Danner was interested, Paltrow didn't want to leave London.

ask the cast of Sweet Charity ....they loved Christina
Charlotte opened in Boston and got bad reviews for her performance so being a triple threat that she is, and I love her, she wasnt right fot the role either. Christina brought warmth and comedy and she could dance before she broke her ankle....so lets thank her for putting many people to work
that would have been unemployed had it not for her working with a broken ankle !!!

I could see Blythe Danner as Desiree. I think Gwyneth would make a good Malla.

Why are you prattling on about Christina Applegate in a thread about A Little Night Music?
Christina Applegate has nothing to do with the price of figs.
No. Not even FIGS.
I think Gwyneth would make a good Malla.
Hahaha. Malla isn't in this production. Though Nunn still has Desiree call her name at the top of act 2, lol.
I know Gwyneth would be totally wrong for the role, it'd just be fun to see her fall flat on her face. I despise her.
She might not be right for the role, but I can't imagine her being that bad. I thought she was the best thing in Iron Man 2.

"...The best thing in Iron Man 2."" Or the equivalent of saying, "So, other than that, how did you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?"
