I still don't like Lazar's look, but I didn't enjoy his performance very much, either.

The London Carl-Magnus was just bizarre. He's not a bad actor from what I've seen of him elsewhere, but you'd think he was from his performance in Night Music - utterly, bafflingly miscast, physically and vocally. Not sure what Sir Trev was aiming for with that casting (or the Countess, for that matter) - and this is coming from someone who really liked the production.

Having heard the London production, I can say that Lazar is a huge improvement. The London Carl-Magnus could not cut it vocally.

Based on the photos you posted, no. But that doesn't change the fact that Lazar doesn't like (nor did his performance resemble) someone who as in the military.

If you get gay eye-candy in a Trevor Nunn production it is by coincidence rather than design.

I dont get it...people complain about the cast being too young and sexy, but then some people turn right around and talk about how lovely the eye candy is in the show...

Seriously, for the haters...Stop reviewing the show based off of a few people's reviews from a PREVIEW. Wise up and dish out the money or shut up and watch WICKED on youtube...

He should have applied some of it to his flunky, who obviously used the surplus boot-polish in his hair.
