"I don't give a flip if people love her or hate her. I'm just saying that I, for one, do not like her at all."
If you don't care so much, why did you go out of your way to post in this thread and let us all know that you dislike her, when it's clear that the thread is meant for people who are fans (therefore making your question about being in the "minority" redundant)?

The performers seem like they should be reversed. "That's How You Know" kind of was Giselle's signature song, so Amy should be singing it. And I'd say "Happy Working Song" fits Kristin's voice better. But nevertheless, I'm sure all five Best Original Song performances will be great!!
Go Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova! The prospect of seeing them perform at the Oscars was the only reason I was dying for the strike to end before this week.
That said, I'm looking forward to all five songs. But I'm rooting for Once all the way.

The best song performances aren't usually in the first hour, are they? I just want to know because I have to miss the first hour and our Tivo is not working right and I really do not want to miss Kristin and Amy.
There have been times where I've seen the "Best Song" performances be spread out through the whole show and there have been times where they've had all five performances in one lump. There's really no way to guess.
Can't wait to see Kristin!
"That's How You Know" is the third song on. Regis was just joking with the cast of the number.
I just tuned in... They didn't perform yet I'd imagine right?
Not yet
Happy Working Song is starting now
Amy is so adorable.
BUT AH! She just messed up! I feel really bad for her!

Is it just me or is she scared to death?
Yeah she looked freaked out...and so nervous that she cracked and was really out of breath
That was adorable, but her arm movements seemed very awkward there... But I'll forgive it for a good performance of a very infectious song... :)

As much as I love Amy, not her best. She did seem very mortified to be performing, I'm surprised they didn't give her more to work with like maybe more than just a bare stage!
I can kind of see why Kristin is singing now...
Poor thing. While "Happy Working Song" isn't a big production number like "That's How You Know" but I think it could have been staged better. It's a fun song and I think she shouldn't have been alone on the stage. She should have had someone or something to interact with. The song loses something with her just standing there alone. And I think she would have been less nervous if there had been more people.
"I'm surprised they didn't give her more to work with like maybe more than just a bare stage!"
I thought the exact same thing. The problem is that it's all digitally animated animals in the movie, so there's nothing she could work with that would be true to the movie...

They could have done something if they'd had a little imagination. In the past they've had lively numbers from cartoons performed very well. When Lion King was nominated they had dancers in African dress. There's always a better answer than a bare stage.
Yeah I thought the same thing as you guys. She seemed so alone and scared. And when I saw her on stage by herself, I was expecting more people any minute.
Poor Amy looked really freaked out. That was cute, though.
"I was expecting more people any minute."
I was doing the same thing. I was like, "And this is where they come to join her... Or not..."
So how about we get to another performance now? Haha
I think that because "That's How You Know" is hugely choreographed they didn't want two numbers like that. But I agree, they should have done something rather than just having Amy Adams stand there.
Next year they should just consult us before they choreograph anything.
Raise it Up from August Rush is on now. This is very nicely staged thus far.
