Looks like the producers got extremely greedy and it's now biting them big time. One of the most expensive tickets for a play in Broadway history, and most performances are highly unsold.

Anyone else notice this?

Yup. I'm very interested in seeing this show, and will be in NYC for its first previews. But no way I'm paying these prices. Listen up, producers, I'm your target audience!

I bought my usual aisle seat in the top row of the balcony. Pictures from Home for an April weekday matinee is running $55 including fees.

I almost always sit in the top row at Studio 54: Cabaret, She Loves Me, Caroline or Change, Waiting for Godot.

Yeah, the prices for this are kind of absurd and really reminding me of the hubris producers had for Mr. Saturday Night.

I don't even like paying the $25-30 Hiptix price for the mezzanine in that theatre, let alone one red cent more.

I can imaging this will be papering like crazy in the beginning

Yes, I noticed it too. I've checked pricing a few times and didn't make a purchase. The show is one I'd like to see, but not one I MUST see, so I don't mind waiting on a discount (if one comes along).

Several people are checking pricing and saying no thank you. It's not a good sign for the show. All you have to do is look at the availability for any date and it shows the mistake the producers made here.

I hope these prices drop before performances start because I'll do what I have to in order to see Nathan Lane onstage.. but I can't justify the current price.

Start high and then drop em. I don’t think a show like this would sell ANY more tickets of face value was $125 vs $200, for example, or $45 vs $60.

No doubt it will be on TDF and other discount channels unless it turns around over night.

Just got an email from TDF with an offer for all January performances it appears.

What is the price on TDF?  I haven't yet renewed my membership, because living far from NYC makes it less of a bargain, but I would consider re-upping if the ticket price is right.  I'm a fan of all the creatives who are involved with this show.

They couldn't pay me enough to sit in the tortuous balcony seats at Studio 54 again.

It's not on TDF's site. I am a member but didn't get the e-mail offer.

Sorry, offer may not have been the right word.  It was just one of the usual TDF emails spotlighting shows.

All the tickets appear to be sold now, but this is the pricing listed in the email:

Price and Fee Information
Base ticket price: $42.00
Venue facility fee: $2.00
TDF service fee: $5.00
A $4 processing fee will be added to your order at checkout.
