I'm excited for this. I actually really liked the music when I saw the show.

I currently have A Day Beyond Belclare stuck in my head. I have The Pirate Queen podcast on my iPod and it seems like every time there's background music, that's the song that's playing. It's such a catchy tune, but so annoying when it's stuck in your head.

This is probably a stupid question, but is Grania's lullaby to the baby (technically just a reprise of "Woman") on the cd? I would guess it would be on the beginning of "Enemy at Port Side" or the very end of The Entr'Acte.

I'm just curious because that was one of my absolute favorite moments in the show.

The only major music piece that I can see missing from that list is the beautiful short song that Steph sings when Jeff McCarthy dies, which comes right before Sail To The Stars.

Clarifications and thoughts:

One entire English Court scene, "Go Serve Your Queen," is missing. It happens between "A Day Beyond Belclare" and "Sail To The Stars."

I hope "All I Am" is attached at the beginning of "Sail To The Stars," EponineThenardier. In the original script, there was a part before that that was part of "Sail To The Stars." I think of all the parts ("All I Am," the Celtic Lady's solo, and "Sail To The Stars") as a sequence of melodies under the umbrella of one number.

Another missing part is the crucial Minor-key song "Lament" between "She, Who Has All" and "The Sea of Life." Such passive plot points that are key to understanding the underlying themes of laying back and accepting defeat take place there...wait, just kidding.

I hope "Finale" contains the ending duet between Grania and Tiernan. Such beautiful music I'd hate to lose.

I'd be suprised if the Finale didn't have the duet with Grace and Tiernan...I'm sure it's in there.


and Yay for Surrender...that was one of my favorite parts since Chicago when it was "each in time"...yay!

overall, looking at the tracklisting, i think they got pretty much all the important songs in there :) i was worried theyd leave out like...important songs, haha
that didnt make sense

but itll be so nice to finally have a recording of this! i wish it was coming out next tuesday with CURTAINS and 110...thatd be cast recording heaven.

It's been an amazingly productive season for cast recordings. Almost every new show got a CD which is impressive considering the concern over the last few years.

O/T I just saw a rather lengthy Spring Awakening commercial..!! that was fun...I heard "Touch Me" and I got really confused, I looked at my computer and was like "nope not on here"...so seldom I see anything Broadway on tv!!
