I am coming into town Memorial Day weekend. I have slots for 8 shows. Six of the slots are filled with Musicals.
I was thinking of filing 1 or both of the remaining slots with plays.
What should I pick out of:
Oslo
Indecent
A Doll's House, Part 2
Understudy Joined: 2/21/17
I'd pick both Indecent & A Doll's House, Part 2. My two favorite plays of this season. Both very powerful and moving!
A Doll's House, Part 2
A Doll's House, Part 2 is a must-see. I've yet to see Indecent, and though I wasn't super enamored of Oslo, it's an enjoyable play with a great cast.
Ditto....except I haven't seen Indecent yet...seeing it next Saturday.
Where is a good place to sit for Dolls House? How are the short angled rows near the stage on the sides?
It's a small house, so any seat is generally going to be fine. Those front row seats should be great- the stage is low, and it's a treat to be that close to such great actors, especially Metcalf.
Thanks everyone. Looks like it is Doll House. Just realized my other open spot is Sunday night, and it looks like none of the choices have a performance Sunday night.

It's NYC. Surely you'll find something to fit into your slot...
I saw Dolls House part 2 on a sunday night. I think they still perform sunday night.
I also agree Dolls House and Indecent are the two to see

Oh I agree, but out of the 3 plays, none of them have a Sunday evening performance.
A close friend saw Oslo a couple of weeks ago and absolutely raved about it.
After seeing it last night, see Indecent! It's far more special and moving than the (for me) proficient Oslo.

Indecent! It never left a theater in more awe. It is so powerful and beautiful. A Doll's House is also wonderful. Great acting.
I moved my Wednesday night show to Sunday. So I was able to book Indecent an DH2 . Thanks everyone.
Based upon everyone's recommendations, I saw Doll's House Part 2 and Indecent yesterday.
I loved Doll's House Part 2. Excellent acting from all of the actors. Laurie Metcalf, Chris Cooper, and Jayne Houdyshell deserve a Tony for that performance.
I enjoyed Indecent, but not as much as Doll's House Part 2. After the play, I really wished I enjoyed it much more. I loved the story and the premise behind it. It seems like much of the play kept repeating itself, just in different time periods. Maybe I was missing something, but I was getting bored and wanted the story to move along. I won't further explain in order to avoid giving out a spoiler. The play finally wraps itself up near the end. I think the climax/ending could have been expanded much more. The plot/middle could have been shortened or at least developed much more.
I could see DH2 again, but I doubt I could see Indecent again.
