Playbills: Broadway Flea Market

With The Broadway Fleamarket coming in a month I was wondering if anyone knew how much playbills are there. I was hoping to buy a few and I'm bringing about $100. So how much are they usually and also how much are posters?

Honey, how many threads are you going to start today? Most of your questions already have existing threads, so please do a simple search --- or at least put all of your questions in one post. Thanks!

How long until school starts again??

New show or old show? Signed or unsigned? You could easily go home with 100 or more Playbills for $100 or spend your whole budget or 2 Playbills signed by the whole cast.

Honey....how much energy did it take to write that? Do you know the OP? Does this really bother you? Are you the High Priestess Message Board tracker? Leave them alone. <<edited by BWW staff>>.

JSquared2 does have a point, but some of us just like answering questions (and seeing how un-sarcastic we can be for once).

In their defense also, the BWW Search feature is not state of the art and often is not accurate in what you're actually asking it.

I have no idea why people start threads for stuff that already exists. I'm even guilty of doing that once when I first joined, got blasted, then learned to use search. It's not that hard. Also if you search whatever you want in Google then site:broadwayworld.com it works a thousand times better.
Last year Playbills were 2 for a dollar, no matter which, and its best to arrive early for good Playbills if you collect. As for window cards, anywhere from $10 to $100. Stop by the food trucks too- they're delicious!

Oddly enough I've never been to Broadway Flea. I'm thinking about going this year. I'd love to hear about the pricing of playbills and posters.

I find if you say, "I tried searching for this, but couldn't find anything, but does anyone know..."

But like dearalanaaa said, Google is the easiest way to search for a thread on Broadway World.

I went to last year's flea market and one thing I suggest is to bring cash. Sure, some vendors to accept credit cards but at times their ipad wasn't working or the line was long, etc.

As for cost of playbills, I agree with others. I recall most are $1 each in the beginning but later in the day just like at any flea market, they have more discounts, etc.

@georgeanddot, if you go to bway flea, try to check out the auction in the afternoon. For some reason I'm always intrigued by a live auction... seeing people wave those paddles with confidence, feeling the electricity in the air, wondering who the proxies are talking to on their cell phone, etc. Last year, I recall bids for the Springsteen Opening night + afterparty reaching over $10k! Perhaps someday I can participate too! lol
