Yes, I saw MC in 1997 here in Los Angeles. She was incredible.

After funding for MC fell through, the rights expired and HBO grabbed them and announced that Mike Nichols would direct Meryl Streep in a film adaptation for their network. He soon passed away after that, and nothing ever came of it.
