Les Miserables and Rent won't see Broadway again for a long, long time.

Or they'll come back repeatedly like La Cage, Fiddler and Gypsy. Les Miserables has already had two revivals since the original closed on Broadway and the original production is still running in London. I've a feeling it will return to Broadway many times in the future.

THE LIFE....
Maybe not that popular, but I'm sure "I ain't exactly alone..." in thinking this was a musical triumph.

Not a revival, but a UK premiere: The Life hits London

The Sound of Music – last NY commercial production in June 1999 (17.5 years ago), and on TV December 2013 (4 years ago)
Into The Woods – April 2015 (2 years); currently touring the US
Godspell – June 2012 (5 years)
[title of Show] – October 2008 (8.5 years)
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee – January 2008 (9 years)
Once – January 2015 (2 years)
Bye Bye Birdie – January 2010 (7 years)
Billy Elliot – January 2012 (5 years)
Ragtime – January 2010 (7 years)
Les Miserables – September 2016 (1/2 year)

Maybe they need a bit of time to cook a bit?

I'm still dying for a Spelling Bee revival.

I would be surprised to see revivals of Shenandoah or Grand Hotel, even though both ran over 1,000 performances. Maybe Grand Hotel by Roundabout. It was popular in that it ran 1,000 performances, but it struggles for a decent part of its run.
On the other hand, I don't understand what we haven't had a revival of Deathtrap since it opened.

No, I doubt you're completely and totally alone, but I can't imagine there would be enough of you to warrant a revival. Maybe a one-night concert. At Don't Tell Mama's. Personally, I thought it was an AWFUL show. Hackneyed and dreary with only a few numbers worth remembering (and several best left forgotten). Wildcat, Seesaw, I Love My Wife, Barnum, City of Angels and Will Rogers Follies would all be more worthy of revival than The Life.

Why I say Billy Elliot won't be revived, because you have factor in the following factors.
- it had a very high cost to put in $17m
- Weekly operating nut of $850k, which old have included a expensive Billy Academy.
- The Broadway production, although it made money, didn't really run that long. Just over 3 years.
- The show died on the road.

Cynthia Erivo would be brilliant in a Billy Elliot revival.
