I was holding off taking a friend to Moulin Rouge as I didn't want to pay the price for seeing it a third time. I know it is January but shocked at how many tickets are available this week. I ended up purchasing Orchestra seats for Thurs Mat Row H Center for 129.00 each before service charges.
Will be interesting to see if it shows up on TKTS this week.

It will be up to the producers. However, with dynamic ticket pricing nowadays I doubt they'd go the TKTS route. Rather, they'll just discount the tickets further (without calling it a discount.) I see mezz prices are now down to $79 and can can seats to $199 for the weekdays this week.

Also can can seats $179 on Thursday Mat. Those seats are too close for me. I forgot about the dynamic pricing. Hence the $129 I paid.
Thanks for that info Wick3. :)

I got a "lottery looser" code after losing the lottery for $99 orchestra seats (with fees). But then I got an email just now saying lottery tickets were unclaimed so I won! Clearly they are selling less this week so maybe TKTS is possible.
$129 for center orchestra is a grest price and those are great seats. X-mas week those were listed at $349, & I only managed to get one, day of show, for $199 because it was a single seat.
Definitely think Can Can seats are way too close.
Edit Also, the cast definitely rewards you for the energy you put in, I got a lot of eye contact & smiles from cast members, including Olivo, that others around me didn't get because I was being appreciative of their performance. Like applauding, instead of sitting with my arms crossed kvetching about "I'm not sure if I like this yet."
Desperate to see this show and I'll be in NYC 22nd to 26th April. Just had a look at prices and they're super expensive of course. What are the odds I can get a better deal closer to the time? If you go to the box office on the day/day before you want to go do they tend to reduce prices? Or is that less likely for April?

I would expect it to be almost impossible. While MR is not proving to be a hit equivalent to Hamilton and BOM, it has done extremely well to date. Tickets are a little cheaper now because it is winter and the least thing the producers want are empty seats. I would be very surprised if it is not back to fully-sold out without any reduced price tickets status by mid-Spring. Actually,I'd be shocked.
As Jarethan mentioned it will probably only be till spring before things go back to the levels they were. I was very fortunate for what I paid for center orchestra and friends were able to purchase 2nd row Front Mezz Center for $99. for the same performance. Also think you best chance for most price ranges when you are in town would be the Thursday Mat. So far each time I have seen it was that performance.

This ticket is now priced at $99, would really love for it not to go to waste.
