Post show things to do

Besides eating, are there any post show events like cabarets or similar things that you like to do? Even clubs with Live music would be great. I'm doing a week Broadway catching up trip on Friday to see closing shows.

I like to just go home... but you can always check out what's happening at the Beechman Theatre!

Perhaps check if there is a late show at 54 Below that you can make and that interests you. Some people like to go to Marie’s Crisis piano bar or The Duplex. Also, Freestyle Love Supreme is doing some late shows that you might be able to make. I personally like the upstairs bar area at Sardi’s to go and decompress and reflect after a show. Another option could be a gay bar.

Dont tell Mama can be fun.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

any piano bar is always a fun place to go to after a show. I also think piano bars are a unique NYC experience especially for visitors.

When I visit NY, after a show, I decompress on the 7 train to my Flushing lodging. I'll read the Playbill bios and people watch.

Also, Stonewall Inn is literally right next door to The Duplex piano bar.

Any piano bar as others have mentioned, there are lots nearby!

Also maybe lame but a free thing I like to do sometimes after an evening show is walk around all the theaters. It can be exciting seeing the excitement of everyone leaving their respective shows or walking past big crowds at stage doors. Even saw Jeff Daniels up and close by doing this! Of course don't intrude on the stage doors for shows I did not go to, but its fun walking around while all the marquees are still lit up.

Also, for a different vibe, there’s a speakeasy called Flûte just down the street from Studio 54. I recommend the Green Kimono cocktail.
