I will be seeing the show soon and am not at all familiar with the story. I've only heard great things about the production and the soon to be TONY winning performances. Do you suggest I watch the film version with Katharine Hepburn before seeing the production?

Yes, you should watch the movie sometime (I think Hepburn is great, plus Jason Robards is in it), but it is not in any way necessary to watch before seeing the play live.

Just make sure you pee before the show. It's a long ass play.

There's no prep needed. It's a very straightforward take on a classic text. Just go in doing whatever you need to do to be comfortable for a 3+ hour play.

Bring a sweatshirt if you're cold natured. It's quite cold in there.

It's actually uncomfortably cold in that theatre.
