Has it been very crowded? Im trying tomorrow night, Im hoping to get 2 names pulled for me and my family, there are 4 of us putting our names in.
Have they been doing any post lotto discounts?
Standing room? I know SRO at the Palace is expensive (Atleast it was for West side story)

Sunday Night lotto is normally the smallest group.
And if you lose, they have the discount for balcony for $45, and the balcony seats are amazing for this show since it's such a visual spectacle.

Would you say balcony is better than lotto? Since its such a visual show from what I hear
Given the choice would you sit lotto or balcony?

I will be honest, I was kinda bummed when I lost lotto. But at intermission, I crept down to where the lotto seats would have been (just to see) and even at my height advantage, it would've been hard for me to see.
While the balcony bars you from the participation section and you lose some facial expressions, I recommend it over the lotto seats.
No matter where you sit, you will have a good time.

Posted: 4/16/11 at 11:36pmThe balcony at the Palace is better than the rear mezz at the Broadway. That being said, it's not a great place to sit when you have things coming up through trap doors. Since you're practically on top of the stage, you can see everything coming. I sat there for Legally Blonde the second time and Lestat, and while the view is fine, it ruins many special effects. For Priscilla, nothing comes out of the floor, so I don't think I would be bothered.

I lotto'd tonight for someone and lost. They weren't offering lotto loser seats but they offered me balc for $52, but then we left and came back, at which time those seats were gone and they offered us $27 "partial view balc" which was side aisle balc with a tiny obstruction. I set my friends up with those tickets and went on my way to How to Succeed. But the tickets were harder to get than I thought. It was only 30% on TKTS. Good for them for doing well.
And, for the record, when I did see it with a $40 cancelled group seat in the balc that I got a few days in advance of the performance I saw weeks ago, I was glad I was up that high...this show has a lot going on visually.
