Oh,I thought Dorian Gray is playing at New Wimbledon Theater from Oct 6 to 10?
By the way, any rush tickets for Priscella? I remember last time I was in London, Billy E. had 25Pound seat for sale on the same day of the performance.
It's a downer that there's no show on Sunday

pitfever, you won't see the original cast. The original cast are in Australia, you will see the original London cast featuring Tony Sheldon as Bernadette, the role he created in the original Australian production.

I want to see La Cage as well...
So any tips on how to get tickets? Discounts?

The hit show Priscilla Queen of the Desert is to become only the second Australian musical to open in New York <>. The show's co-producer, Gary McQuinn, told The Sydney Morning Herald that bookings had been confirmed for Broadway in early 2011. The Peter Allen biography, The Boy from Oz, is the only other Australian developed musical to go to New York.
Priscilla grossed more than $80 million in Sydney and Melbourne, where it closed at the Regent Theatre in April last year before its London premiere last March.

pitfever, in answer to your query I would recommend checking out theatremonkey.com regularly both before and after you arrive. La Cage is often on TKTS and also it's worth asking at the Priscilla Box Office on day to see what they have left or if there are any good return seats. Wouldn't recommend the balcony myself (I'm more of a 'I need/want to see the whites of their eyes' type gal), but some folks love certain seats up there.

OOPS! Sorry about the double post!
James1969: I'd have been in-like-flynn for your spare ticket if I thought there was a genuine chance of me being able to see the show on the 29th. As it stands though, not only am I down to work that weekend, but it also coincides with a system upgrade, so I'm expected to make a 4 hour round-trip to an 'evacuation site' on Saturday & Sunday FOR WORK!!!
I don't mind working / travelling stupid hours for my own benefit, but missing out on West End / Theatre trips is beyond the pale!

Seeing the show on my trip over next month. Anyone know of scheduled absences 26th September? And how is Row O centre aisle?
Very excited to see the show. I'm seeing 7 shows in 5 days, and this is one of the highlights!

By the way, any rush tickets for Priscella? I remember last time I was in London, Billy E. had 25Pound seat for sale on the same day of the performance.
Not a discount, really, but I'm in London visiting this week and dropped by the box office at about 12:30ish on Thursday to see what was available for the 2:30 matinee in an affordable price range. It was just me and the man sold me a slightly partial view Stalls seat (Row S, four seats in from the aisle) for 25 Pounds vs its 39.50 actual price. And really, the seat wasn't very partial view at all! I just missed maybe a couple of minutes of the extreme top of the stage, but they had TV screens showing me what I missed and if I shifted my head a bit, I could see it. Other than that, great view.
Show was just plain fun in my opinion. Glad I saw it!

Just to let you folks know that I found a buyer for my spare seat on 29th.
Never thought I would have such difficulty.
Counting the days until Saturday - anyone else gonna be there ?

Watched it again last week, if anything i loved it even more than i did the first time.
Sat in the Balcony row f near the aisle on the left, and apart from missing a little action on the far front left of the stage, which was more to do with annoying people in front moving there heads about than anything else, the seats were great for the price - £24 each. The shoe scene was amazing from up there, can't imagine it being better from anywhere else, certainly not on stalls where we sat previously.

Cast change is in March - the whole cast was contracted for a year.
I saw the show last night (first time in over a month!) and it still makes me smile as much as it did on that very first preview night. Was pleased to see Oliver Thornton back as Adam and was also impressed once again by Craig Ryder's performance as Tick. As always though, Tony Sheldon was the star of the show (even if the titular bus gets more entrance applause then he does)! Special mention for Clive Carter too - have to say the chemistry between Bob and Bernadette is wonderful.
James: glad you got a buyer for your extra ticket. I also had a spare 3rd row seat recently and ended up selling it to someone who had just flown in from Spain that afternoon, dying to see the show! Hope you have a fab time on Saturday.

I stand (sit!) corrected - was only passing on the jist of what I was told by a cast member yesterday, so there might have been some generalisation involved.
I'm hoping next time I go back that Danielle Coombe has returned as Shirley - she's a definite comic highlight for me.
