are there any updates on the tour. i have heard that it is supposed to start touring this fall but havent heard too much about it except for that- some dates have been announced but not too many. i am very curious if this is really gonna happen.

Yes, the 1st US National Tour of PRISCILLA: QUEEN OF THE DESERT is indeed happening and was actually confirmed about a year ago.

These are the stops currently announced. More stops will be announced soon.



January 8-13, 2013 at Orpheum Theatre (Minneapolis, MN)
March 5-10, 2013 at Benedum Center (Pittsburgh, PA)
April 2-7, 2013 at Ziff Ballet Opera House at Arsht Center (Miami, FL)
April 16-21, 2013 at Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre (Orlando, FL)
April 23-28, 2013 at Kravis Center (West Palm Beach, FL)
May 8-12, 2013 at Bass Concert Hall (Austin, TX)

It's coming to Buffalo too!!!! I'm sure the bus will be scaled down.

The bus will be scaled down, content will go unchanged, and all costumes will be included. This was repeated to me by someone who attended a Broadway tour conference this past fall.

Also, I was told someone in the group asked the show rep if Sheldon would tour with it - to which they replied "Not sure."

Granted this is third-hand word of mouth.

But "Not sure" suggests to me that he may... and given that the show is rumored to close in Sept, and the tour launch around Dec, it would make sense if he's to be encorporated into rehearsal/tech time.

That would be awsome if he did as i can't see anyone coming close to his bernadette!

The show is coming to the Fox Theatre in St. Louis Jan 29 to Feb 10, 2013.

My question is if anyone knows if it is going to be equity or non-equity. my guessw would be equity judging the amount of costumes ect.

If they're trying to court Tony it's pretty clear they're going Equity.

That's exciting as Non Equity would have made me upset for reasons we all know LOL.
