Own a piece of the Broadway musical, Spring Awakening. Prop letter used onstage by Lea Michele (Glee) from a performance of the hit Broadway musical, Spring Awakening. Letter is also signed by Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff. ALSO included is a playbill with autographs from the majority of the cast.

The price has been adjusted accordingly. If there is a problem with the font, that would be something to take up with the show's prop designer.

Well, obviously I know the font is something you cannot control and that's not the real issue. I get wary of people who try to put an exorbitant price on autographs of people who are virtually no-names (maybe with the exception of Lea Michelle, even so, I wouldn't put that high of a price on her autograph). Especially when you can find stage props/autographed goods at the Broadway Flea Market for much cheaper.

I'm a big Lea Michelle fan, (don't judge me) and I would love to have this. But I'm 17 and broke, and my mom doesn't like the idea of me owning Broadway memorabilia or anything like that. She was furious when I got my WICKED playbill signed at the stage door. So my chances of buying this are pretty thin.

Wow, I'm not a fan of stagedooring at all, and don't see the value of autographs-- but for someone to get grounded over it seems ridiculous. It not that getting autographs coats you anything but your time.

Have you talked to anybody you trust about this? What's her problem with you and theater stuff? Totally off-topic, I know -- but this is baffling to an outsider and seems like some real "issues."

It's not like you're bringing home anything dangerous or embarrassing. It's hard to comprehend that theater keepsakes are being treated like drugs or guns, etc.

I go to a high school where the only thing that matters is sports, so she thinks that I'll get picked on because of my interest in musical theater. But I don't even mention it around my friends. She also thinks I'm gay, which I don't get why she thinks that because I have a girlfriend.

Seriously, maybe then she's still stressing that you're gay, and having a Broadway stash just makes her get more upset about what she considers a bigger issue. Sounds like college can't come quickly enough. (If she were worried about being picked on because you have Broadway stuff in your room at your house, by other students in school, it's probably too late to worry about that during your senior year. Same with sexuality, whatever yours is...)

Eric, just let me start off by saying I hate quiches. It's just a fun word. It's true, college, which I start in about a year, really won't come quich enough. I only started collecting broadway stuff about a year ago, so she couldn't have stressed about that when I was in middle school or anything. She has met my girlfriend many times, and she likes my girlfriend, but apparently that's not enough to convince her.

I think you saying quiche enough was a typo and not meant to be a pun--but I enjoyed it, regardless. For the record I love quiche--I think in the 80s there was a book called Real Men Don't Eat Quiche, talking about masculine stereotypes. I remember someone in my house was reading it when I was growing up, and the title confounded me, but I was too afraid to ask what it meant, since even then I happened to like quiche...

I dunno, like I said it sounds like your mom is dealing with her own issues here--if you're comfortable with who you are than just try to let that go. I wouldn't go out of my way to try to prove to her I was straight or anything (but obviously, being gay, it's not something I have experience with since I did spend a lot of time hiding things like Broadway albums to try to seem more stereotypically straight). Does she get mad when you actually go to shows to, or is that ok it's just taking back momentos from them that's not?

Oh Quiche, someday you will be content and happy with a smoking hot boyfriend* and an apartment where the walls are adorned with all your signed playbills in those cute little frames.

And all this will seem like a distant memory.

In the meantime I'm sure your mom is doing what she's doing because she thinks it's best for you. Not saying she's necessarily right, but I'm sure it comes from a place of love.

*I know you said you have a girlfriend btw, but I'm guessing she lives in Canada.
