Ok, so it's been a long time since I've posted anything on these boards, but when I have a question, I know who to turn to! :)
My amazing mother-in-law bought me tickets to see Hello Dolly! on June 14th matinee. The seats are BALC J 14 and 16. I realize these are rear balcony seats, but I'm not familiar with the Shubert. I assume its a very large theatre. My question is...Does anyone know how the view is from these seats....should we get opera glasses to bring with us? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I've never sat up there but I've heard people say that they stood for some numbers to see the full set.

I just sat in rear balcony last Saturday night. My seat was either F1 or G1. I thought the view was really good considering it was the last couple of rows in the balcony. I did not need to stand to see the top of the set. That maybe different for you since you are in the last row. But I did not think it was a birdseye view. There are poles up there in the balcony. I fortunately did not have my view blocked by them. That would be the most negative up there if you were behind a pole.
