Paul Sorvino has died at the age of 83. While he was best remembered as a veteran character actor of the big and small screens (as well as father of Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino), he also actually had six Broadway credits to his name. One of them in particular was as an original cast member of Jason Miller’s 1972 play, That Championship Season, which earned him a Tony nomination for his performance.

What a talented man. His performance in The Baker's Wife, particularly "If I Have to Live Alone", gives me chills every time.

Sad. I think he was an underrated actor. I only saw him live once at New York City Opera in The Most Happy Fella. He was wonderful in the role of Tony. It was nice to see him as a proud papa when his daughter was awarded her Oscar. RIP sir.

Perhaps very specific/random and I haven’t listened to it in about 14 years so take it with a grain of salt but I remember enjoying his song in repo! The genetic opera. (Gold?).

A wonderful actor. Wish he had returned to Broadway later in life (in plays or musicals).
