Sally - yes, probably. But I doubt that it'll be actual "dancing" per se. Rent isn't really a "dance" show. I'm thinking more like choreographed movent/running around like the number is in the show. I think it would just be stupid to actually have an entire group of people pirouetting around the stage in "Rent", don't you?

i've always though that a town/city/whatever collectively singing a song and dancing like they telepathically learn it is the corny-est thing in the world, but it actually could work here...

Okay, so...I know we've touched on this, but I don't think it was actually discussed in detail.

Someone mentioned something about Roger going out of the house in Glory when in the show it's Mimi that gets him out for the first time. Opinions on that?

Also, it talks about Roger standing "dangerously close to the edge" of the roof. Do we think this is intended to hint that Roger's contemplating suicide at the beginning of Glory? Or that he just doesn't care anymore?

I saw it as something in between the two, like maybe he realizes that in the past few months he's gone completely numb, gotten completely out of the loop, and so he's trying to shock himself back into feeling...I don't know, I've had a number of different thoughts on this...I'll shut up now and let you guys talk. "It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

i didn't really see it as "leaving the loft" i just saw it as getting some air after he sees the picture of himself and april (if im remembering correctly... too lazy to check...)

i actually did originally see roger's standing "dangerously close to the edge" of the roof as thinking about suicide. he's singing about his dead girlfriend that had commitied suicide, come on guys! but i take everything literally, as you all know...

I've always thought Roger seemed really disgusted with himself in Glory...even in the show...

Yes, suicide is probably what Columbus wanted to hint at. It makes the song that much more powerful

i think that's how everyone feels about that... it wasn't necessary to bring the gay marriage thing in, and it kind of puts it in the present rather than the 90's, but it isn't SUCH a bad idea...

I think it's cute. I CERTAINLY don't know why people are calling it homophobic...

You're right except for two things. Tracy Thoms, not Fredi, is Joanne. And we don't yet know about Wilson.
