And you STILL complained about not being able to make the taping?

Just to give you an idea of the line up... we went to the Today Show at 5:30am on a non-concert day. Actually, nothing was really going on that day in the plaza. We were about 50th in line that early and managed to get a decent spot (not the best though). By 6am, the line was absolutely ridiculous. I can't imagine how long the line will be at 5:30am tomorrow.....
The show airs 7-10am EST as well.

I'm still a little bit confused; when I watched Chitty's performance, they were just sort of caged into a tiny area, and people surrounded the barricades to watch them sing.
Is there actually going to be a stage for this, or is it like that?
I don't even know that anyone on here can answer my question - I may just have to see.

Em
It seems each situation/performance is set up differently. For the Goo Goo Dolls there was a stage, and even with them 3 feet off the ground it was a challenge to see.

It will probably be a stage, since this is part of their concert series.

There is a stage, although there's still barricades and it's a pain in the bum to try and see there if you're not close. I'm going anyway, though.

So, um, do you guys think there is any point in my getting up at 7 am tomorrow to watch this on TV? I mean, I know it said b/w 8:30 and 9:00 on the RENT site, but I've had too many bad experiences with incorrect times, and my vcr is a pain in the you-know-where znd only records channel 3.

oh boy...i'm used to sleeping in late because my summer job doesn't start until 11 AM, and so I am not going to be able to wake up to watch it. I'll just hope one of you good rentheads tapes it and can send me a file :). For those of you attending, have fun!

Ok, forget the Today Show. I'm not waking up in 4 hours to go stand outside for another 5 and then do the park thing. I'll watch it on tv and then go to Bryant Park.

I was in such shock when I heard the opening notes of the new SOL, that I forgot to press record. I can't believe it's happening. I know we say that every 10 minutes...but...but...i can't believe it! :)

They all look wonderful. Tracie and Jesse sounded incredible.
